Luminari Raises $845,000 in Seed Round for CPA Career Management Platform

    TORONTO, ON, January 31, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Luminari, the largest career management platform for CPAs in Canada, today announced it has raised $845,000 from strategic angel investors. The round was led by Former CEO of GES at TMX and current CPA Ontario Board Member, Jean Desgagne. Other investors include Farber Group, Northshore Partners, William Tunstall-Pedoe, Robert Halperin & Co., Waverley Corporate Finance, Nick Cheung and investment from the OCE Market Readiness Program.



Since it's inception over 2 years ago, Luminari has grown to be the leading grassroots brand in the CPA industry across Canada, with over 12,000 members signed up to their platform. Further solidifying Luminari's standing in the accounting & finance community has been the array of partnerships they've cultivated, including with industry leaders FEI Canada (Financial Executives International), Xero, Farber Group, CPA Ontario, among many others.

 Luminari plans to use the money raised to continue to grow their team and expand across the country with their suite of career management services, with a focus on education, mentorship and job services. Luminari is a proud member of OneEleven, an alumnus of Creative Destruction Lab's 2018 Machine Learning cohort, and was honoured to be the winner of the 2018 Toronto Region Board of Trade "Talent Catalyst" award.
