CHICAGO, IL, February 28, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Charles Tillman, former Chicago Bear, and Jacob Beckley, an Innovation Executive, team up to make a difference. Benefiting the Cornerstone Foundation and the Beckley Foundation, Charles and Jacob are building a homemade two-man rowboat and rowing non-stop across Lake Michigan in 2019.
Charles, a 13-year veteran of the NFL, two-time pro bowler, and the recipient of the 2013 Walter Payton Man of the Year award, is committed to accomplishing this task and making a real difference in the lives of kids and their families. He has seen firsthand what a long-term illness can do to families financially and emotionally. Through grants from his Cornerstone Foundation, many families can focus on taking care of their child without worrying about their financial obligations.
Jacob, who is neither an athlete, nor a rower, committed himself to this endeavor to benefit pediatric cancer research. Seeing the effects of childhood cancers, specifically neuroblastoma, Jacob has decided to dedicate his life to enabling breakthroughs in research through funding.
The boat build progress can be viewed at www.row4kids.com. Each day, Jacob and Charles are getting closer and closer to completing the first leg of his journey, building the boat.
Row4Kids is the journey of two men who want to help others. 100% of all contributions go directly to the foundations and their work to help kids and families. For more information, please visit www.row4kids.com.
