Luckenbooth Guerilla Theatre Finds New Home in Fort Worth Design District

    FORT WORTH, TX, May 02, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Even a guerilla theatre company like Fort Worth's famous Luckenbooth needs space of its own to gather, to hold auditions, to teach classes, to do workshops and to give private instruction in the dramatic arts.

The 1200 square feet Black Box Studio it has leased from RDS Investments in the Fort Worth Design District will meet those needs without taking the Luckenbooth away from its guerilla theatre origins. The new space is in the Golden Triangle Business Park, Suite 800, at 1929 Golden Heights Road in North Fort Worth, TX.

"Patrons should still check their ticket stubs for venue because, true to our roots, we will be doing our performances in the community at places suited to the production," said Luckenbooth Theatre's Founder and Artistic Director Megan Hildebrand.

"We are very excited that the Luckenbooth Theatre has leased studio space in the new design district," said RDS Vice President Jim Eaton. "They are exactly the kind of tenants we had in mind when we started the design district," added the Fort Worth commercial real estate executive.

Upcoming events at the Black Box Studio Space include auditions for Alice in Wonderland, a new original musical based on the classic novel and adapted by the Company for actors age 6 - 18, June 1, 2019 (by appointment); Repertory Company Member August Riehle's production of Another Set of Issues, a comedic thriller, on June 25, 2017 at 7 pm; as well as summer classes for children and teens that begin the week of May 13.
