F'RAEL teamed up with Mighty "The Gospel Hip Hopper" to make the quarantine and stay-at-home period more fun and relaxing. F'RAEL revealed in a recent interview that the inspiration for 'Summer Time' comes from the long and cold winters of Minnesota, which appear even longer in these days of quarantine and social isolation. Both F'RAEL & Mighty hail from Minnesota, and are a part of the same Christian hip-hop community and bare witness to the same harsh weather, stay-at-home order, and governor mansion protests. To uplift the current mood, the duo decided to create their own sunshine in these chilly conditions while capturing the frame of mind and visuals of sunshine and sandy beaches to help listeners at home stay relaxed.

A summer anthem, the song celebrates the freedoms that come from belonging to Jesus. For F'RAEL, this creation connects with childhood memories of summer beaches and barbeque, and this is what he wants listeners to take away from the song.
