/24-7PressRelease.com/ - Palo Alto, CA, April 6, 2005 - Phil Lumish, the owner and main consultant at Plum Marketing announced that his company was instrumental in the recent acquisition arrangements made between Apreo Ltd and surfCONTROL. "Because of an earlier arrangement I facilitated with surfCONTROL I was able to get the principals of each company together with the result that surfCONTROL acquired all of the assets of Apreo," Phil reported.
"This is very important to us as we have recently determined to become much more aggressive in the MandA arena," Phil continued. "Over the past few years we have been involved with 6 separate deals of this kind - three of these have been closed to the benefit of all parties and one of them is still in negotiation. In one of the other situations the company we were hired by was able to find a business partner, even though the company assets were not sold and in the final case we were unable to find a viable buyer for the company's assets. All in all we believe this is an enviable track record," Phil concluded.
Plum Marketing does all of its MandA deals on a percentage of the final sales value. At the start of the arrangement Plum gets a small retainer that is applied against the final sales value. The retainer is a one-time fee that covers the company's initial costs. Plum Marketing is concentrating this new effort on small technology companies, those with less than $5 million in revenues, and is especially interested in software and Internet related products.
For the past 18 years Plum Marketing has offered sales, marketing, management and rent-an-executive consulting services to a broad range of domestic and international technology start ups and small companies. See http://www.plummarketing.com.
