FORT MYERS, FL, February 03, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ -- EHC, a construction company that provides pre-construction, earthwork and infrastructure services, is proud to announce starting the I-75 at Colonial Boulevard Diverging Diamond Interchange Project in Fort Myers and the Heritage Bay Government Center Project in Naples in 2021 along with two new projects in the fourth quarter of 2020.
I-75 at Colonial Boulevard Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI)
AJAX awarded EHC the DDI project for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). According to the FDOT, the improvements involve the reconfiguration of the I-75 at Colonial Boulevard Interchange to a Diverging Diamond Interchange. Other improvements along Colonial Boulevard include a Continuous Flow Intersection (CFI) at the intersection of Six Mile Cypress Parkway/Ortiz Avenue and a superstreet intersection at the Colonial Boulevard/Forum Boulevard intersection. EHC is providing clearing, excavation, embankment, Type B stabilization and base work for the project.
Heritage Bay Government Center
EHC is working with Kauffman Lynn for Collier County on Phase 1 of the Heritage Bay Government Center located in North Naples. The first phase of the project focuses on the development and construction of an over 20,000 square-foot Collier County Government Services Center (GSC), which will include a new county tax collector's office as well as offices for the property appraiser, supervisor of elections and select services of the clerk of courts. EHC is providing a wide range of services, such as clearing, grubbing, excavation, import fill, subgrade, asphalt, signage and striping, sidewalks, gutters, curbing, grading, handicap ramps, and more for the full-service government center.
In addition to the new 2021 projects, EHC started two projects in the fourth quarter of 2020.
Manasota Key Sidewalk, Lighting & Landscaping
The site contraction company is the prime contractor of the Manasota Key Sidewalk, Lighting & Landscaping project in Englewood for the Charlotte County Government. The project entails design and construction of sidewalks, decorative lighting, and landscaping on Gulf Boulevard from the beach parking lot to the entrance of the Stump Pass state park. EHC services include traffic control, clearing, grubbing, excavation, embankment, Type B stabilization, sidewalks, driveways, retaining wall, signage, markings, and landscaping.
St. Paul Catholic Church
The Diocese of Venice engaged EHC for the St. Paul Catholic Church project in Arcadia. The project is the conversion of an existing commercial space to a church. EHC is adding an offsite turn lane into the parking lot and revamping the parking. EHC services are demolition, finish grading, fill, mill, signage, striping, curb, and subgrade.
