Combating Gender-Based Violence During COVID

The uncertainties are increasing violence against women and girls, creating what the author calls a "shadow pandemic". Over the last year we've learned home is not necessarily a safe place for many. According to WHO, 1 in 3 women is subjected to violence in her lifetime. It could be your Mother, your Wife, your Daughter, your Sister and/or even You! No one is immune or untouched.

"Violence against women remains one of the most common human right abuses in the world. Because women ages 15 through 49 belong to the most vulnerable age group- exposed to various kind of assaults and crimes committed against them-, I prepared a collection of safety tips for everyone who is just about to get her driver license for the first time, who is about to leave the nest for college and also to those who are a bit older and live on their own or stuck in a toxic relationship."
