Lombardi: Biden Enriched Our Enemies and Bankrupted Americans

    MANHATTAN, IL, February 23, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Today, Jack Lombardi, Republican Congressional candidate for Illinois' 14th Congressional District called denounced Joe Biden's handling of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Lombardi pointed out that Biden's energy policies that led America going from energy independence to energy dependence basically financed the Russian invasion. Russian President Putin and other foreign leaders took Biden's measure during the Afghanistan withdrawal and view him as weak, Lombardi stated. They now see this as an opportunity to take advantage of American weakness. As usual Joe Biden is doing too little too late with his underwhelming sanctions against the Russian invasion after waiting 24 hours before calling an invasion an invasion.

Even worse Lombardi noted, Biden's actions are going to further penalize American consumers who are suffering the worse inflation since the 1980s. Biden stated his policies will drive up gas prices, which Lombardi noted could be reversed by reopening the Keystone Pipeline and lifting restrictions on American oil producers. But just as Joe Biden is afraid to get too tough with Putin, he is afraid of offending the far left by making America energy independent once again. As usual with Joe Biden, Americans will pay the price.

"Joe Biden traded a position of strength for a position of weakness with his energy policies, basically financing Russia's invasion of Ukraine," said Jack Lombardi. "Rather than issue the toughest sanctions ever as promised, he issued half-hearted sanctions after trying to decide if an invasion was an invasion. In Illinois, we call things for what they are and this is an invasion. Pure and simple and financed by Joe Biden's policies.

"Vladimir Putin only understands strength and resolve," continued Lombardi. "Sadly, with Joe Biden he sees weakness and uncertainty. He saw in Afghanistan when thirteen brave service men and women were killed that Joe Biden would nothing. He has heard Biden tell Americans in Ukraine; they are on their own. That is weakness and it is shameful.

"Now is the time to unleash our energy capabilities, flood the world with oil and force Putin to withdraw," concluded Lombardi. Yet Joe Biden won't do it because he is afraid of the radical left in his own Party."
