Edmonton College HUNKS Hauling Junk and Moving® Named Honourary Donor of The Year

    EDMONTON, AB, May 25, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Goodwill Industries of Alberta recently hosted their first Thrifting Hall of Fame and the Edmonton College HUNKS Hauling Junk and Moving®, was the recipient of the Honourary Donor of the Year. The full-service moving and hauling company was recognized for their nearly 288,000 lbs. of goods that were donated to Goodwill in the past year, as well as volunteerism at the retail store, their innovative and award-winning recycling program, and professionalism. The Edmonton College HUNKS is led by franchisee Leon Kassian.

This is the first year that Goodwill Industries of Alberta has presented the Thrifting Hall of Fame. The program recognizes thrifting excellence across the communities that they serve. In addition to Honourary Donor of the Year, the charitable organization also recognized DIY of the Year, Antique Finds, Home Decor Hero, and Donor of the Year.
