SAN FRANCISCO, CA, June 08, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- UpEnd, a new school of living wisdoms, has raised almost $10,000 in donations and matching contributions for charities supporting relief in Ukraine and other war-torn areas.
Earlier this year, after several years of design and testing, Dr. Elvir Causevic, Esq., was preparing press materials for the launch of UpEnd, a new social enterprise behind the movement to reignite humanity's core wisdoms. Then the Ukrainian war broke out.
Dr. Causevic reflected on his personal family struggles during the Bosnian war in the 1990s and his own refugee experience in the U.S. It moved him to immediate action to use his resources and network for good. He united PhDs, Elders, life coaches, and other thought leaders who teach the skills of self-care, wisdom, and success, and they organized a fund-raiser for Ukraine and other war-torn regions.
UpEnd offered participation in its 90-day wisdom journey in exchange for donations. Instead of the regular price of $999, UpEnd offered full access to its course to those who made donations between $100 and $1,000, with all proceeds going to Ukraine relief.
Since launching the campaign for {Opening} #2 in February, which requested donations in exchange for the gift of enrollment, UpEnd had 43 donors (38 of whom enrolled) who contributed a total of $8,454.55. Payment processing fees (PayPal and Stripe.com) for these donations totaled $296.75, leaving a net total of $8,157.88. Additionally, one student's employer offered a donation matching program, bringing their own personal contribution to $1,900.
"This means that due to our joint efforts and your generosity, we have raised almost $10,000 to help those who need it most today," Dr. Causevic said in a report to donors. "As a former refugee myself, and with our UpEnd team and some of your peers from Bosnia, we can tell you firsthand that thoughtful action and support matters incredibly in real life."
The funds received by UpEnd have been donated to help displaced and endangered people in war-torn areas, with a special focus on Ukraine. Donations of $2,050 (rounded up by UpEnd/Inspire LLC), have been made to four organizations: Direct Relief, GlobalGiving - Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund, Doctors Without Borders, and The International Rescue Committee, in addition to the Save the Children direct donation from one of the students matched by their employer.
