True Lacrosse Brings New Talent to True IL Girls Program

    CHICAGO, IL, July 19, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- True Lacrosse is excited to announce their newest hire for the True Lacrosse Illinois Girls General Manager, Christina Fried.

"I am ecstatic to have Christina Fried at the helm of Illinois Girls. Christina is an incredible role model for all young women and I am confident she will do an amazing job," explained Suzanne Rich, True Girls' National director. "Her wealth of knowledge of the game and her strong ties in the community will make her a strong leader. Christina's passion and love for the game and her desire to develop every player at every level is what makes her so perfect for the job. I am looking forward to watching her grow in this role!"

Fried brings to her new title experience working as a Players 360 Elite coach, a Naperville Girls Lacrosse Organization (NGLO) director, an Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach, and Defensive Coordinator for Franklin & Marshall College, and an Executive Director of LANCO Elite Lacrosse Club.

Fried is the current Head Women's coach for Aurora University, guiding the athletes through an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance and two NACC Conference Championships. She is also the two-time winner of the NACC Coach of the Year.

Fried has been working within the Illinois lacrosse community for the past eight years, building relationships and strong connections with the college network of recruiters to serve as a strong advocate for girls in the recruiting process. Since then, she has been a part of True, working with the National Team and managing Florida, California, and North Carolina True Lacrosse teams.

"After graduating from Lock Haven University in 2008, I decided to follow my passion and provide the next generation of young women with the experience I had as a college athlete," Fried said. "Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to run our National Teams and grow our Florida and California markets. Now, as I start my own family, I am excited to focus on our Illinois families and share my love of the game with them as a strong leader and mentor."

As True Illinois Girls' new general manager, Fried plans on bringing her great leadership skills and past experience to inspire and propel the team forward.
