Chalik & Chalik Awards 2022 Community Engagement Scholarship

    FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, September 02, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Chalik & Chalik Injury Lawyers first awarded its Community Engagement Scholarship in 2021. Now, as students go into the 2022-2023 academic year, the firm is proud to provide Saad Nadeem with $1,000 in scholarship funds to continue his education at the University of Houston.

The founders of Chalik & Chalik Injury Lawyers, Jason and Debbie Chalik, use the Community Engagement Scholarship to encourage philanthropic efforts in today's youth. Students who apply for the scholarship are encouraged to display evidence of both financial and service-based acts of kindness.

For Saad, exhibiting philanthropic behavior meant providing aid to a community in his native Pakistan. In 2016, Saad returned to Pakistan for three weeks with his family. While there, he found himself moved to provide aid to the local masjid, Al-Quraish.

With the help of his family, Saad established a relief effort called Yasrab. As of its first year of operation, Yasrab raised $5,000 in addition to gathering clothes and toys to donate to communities in need. Today, Saad uses the donations brought in by his organization to help provide free food, healthcare, and education to Pakistani youth.

Saad cites his experience as a Pakistani-American as one of the many driving forces behind his desire to help residents of his home country. He speaks both of the opportunities presented to him by his college education and the difficulty of finding those opportunities while in a lower tax bracket.

Saad hopes to graduate from the University of Houston in 2023 with a bachelor's degree in Health, Kinesiology, and Human Nutrition. He is currently minoring in Business Administration and Biology. He plans on using his degree to pursue a career in human research. He also hopes to attend medical school shortly after his graduation.
