SANTA FE, NM, October 17, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Santa Fe NFT is thrilled to announce the launch of their new art marketplace, an online community that unites artists and global collectors. With the mission of elevating local artists and supporting their experience in the digital art world, the company is building a platform that will be a hub for Santa Fe creators to sell their art as NFTs.
This is the first-ever NFT platform centered around art from the contemporary Santa Fe art scene; often called "The City Different", Santa Fe is globally renowned for its desert and western-style art, turquoise jewelry, unique sculptures, and innovative creations. The city, which is one of the largest art markets in the US, is known not just for being the home of the Georgia O'Keefe museum, but also hundreds of galleries owned by independent artists. Created and led by local business owners Jeff and Kari Keenan, Santa Fe NFT is teaming with local artists Joerael Numina, Stacey Sullivan de Maldonado, and Whitney Corum for their first collections, which will be up for purchase beginning this fall and leading into next year. The artists will be able to simultaneously "hang" art in virtual galleries, some of which is representative of physical works available for purchase; users can purchase the hanging art via crypto payment or by traditional payment options.
Jeff and Kari Keenan said in a statement: "We are so excited to bring Santa Fe art into the NFT space in a way that creates community and values the city's local artists. We're lucky to live in a city that is steeped in tradition and culture; it is immersed in art. We're thrilled to share a special part of Santa Fe with the rest of the world. This is a great opportunity for digital art buyers to own a slice of the Santa Fe art scene in a way that supports the creators."
Along with launching a digital marketplace this year, Santa Fe NFT will also be hosting an immersive art event, the Southwest NFT Conference, which will take place over 3 days in Fall 2023 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Those who would like to attend will be able to purchase a SFNFT Mint Pass this fall. Mint Pass holders will get both in-person and digital perks; purchasers will be able to experience an expansive line up of keynote speakers, educational talks, breakout activities and entertainment that embraces the arts and culture of Santa Fe. The pass will gain you access to all future artist releases and projects, plus will give you pre sale access to all collections along with exclusive drops and in-person events. The mint pass drop will feature generative art created by Joerael Numina of the "crypto ranger", the Santa Fe NFT logo, with 1000 unique editions to be available for purchase. Numina is a local artist known for his groundbreaking murals and founding Mobilize Walls.
Santa Fe NFT is teaming up with Los Muertos Fine Art Works (https://lmfa.io/) for its first NFT drop, with creations by popular Santa Fe artist Stacey Sullivan de Maldonado. Maldonado's prolific art career includes work which has been purchased by celebrities, high-ranking officials, and art collectors. Her work has been shown in prestigious places like The White House, The Supreme Court Building in Santa Fe, The Albuquerque Museum of Art, El Museo de Cultural de Santa Fe, The Hard Rock Casino, and many more places. The "In Love – To The Bone" collection features 999 limited edition NFTs, with Los Muertos-style skeleton art all completely hand-drawn and hand-painted by Maldonado. The first drop will take place this fall, in celebration of Halloween and Día de los Muertos.
"My goal is to bring my 'Los Muertos Fine Art Works' to a modernized, globalized, democratized art market, and to be one of the first from the Santa Fe art space to do so, making my art and its voice accessible and available to more people then I previously ever dreamed possible," said Stacey Sullivan de Maldonado.
Famed sculpture artist Fredrick Prescott will also be collaborating with Santa FE NFT to sell digital art. Prescott is using some of the proceeds from his NFT drops to install full scale sculptures into children's hospitals around the world and will be raising funds for The Best Friends networks of animal sanctuaries. Santa FE NFT is partnering with ISM Toys to create miniature collectables of his full scale pieces, to be paired with Prescott's digital art. Prescott has exhibited his work all over the world and created commissioned works for the likes of Walt Disney Co., Porsche, and the Chicago Bulls, among others. Santa Fe NFT will also be partnering with artist and designer Whitney Corum, also known as Taliswoman, on 6 Santa Fe-inspired collections dropping over the course of 2022/23. Corum is a jewelry designer who is looking to leap into the NFT world, selling unique minimalist designs inspired by her love of animals, nature, and spirituality. Each collection will come with a wearable temporary tattoo version of the NFT art.
The focus of Santa Fe NFT is to showcase digital art from local artists, but the company is also keeping its eye on the global art space with the goal of expanding into other art markets in the future. Those interested in finding out more can go to Santa Fe NFT's website (https://santafenft.io/) and can follow the company's Twitter and Instagram and join their Discord community.
