CENTENNIAL, CO, March 10, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- For more than 25 years, the skilled Colorado attorney of Duncan Legal, PC, has been helping families make important, life-changing decisions. In addition to estate planning needs, Duncan Legal handles probate and estate administration, trust administration, and family law.
While estate planning is about planning ahead to ensure that your assets go where you want them to go when you die by utilizing tools like wills and trusts, probate deals with distributing a person's assets after they've passed away.
The firm's attorney also has extensive knowledge of the intricacies of Colorado family law. In addition to the divorce practice area, they are thoroughly experienced in helping families achieve positive outcomes to their legal challenges and disputes in child support and custody, prenuptial agreements, as well as paternity issues.
"Legal issues involving your family are challenging. I help people see the full picture. Whether you are a new parent or nearing retirement and need an estate plan, experiencing some family challenges that require legal support, or going through a divorce, we can help you make these important decisions and move forward. I've walked people through some of the most personal and difficult challenges of their lives, such as divorce and child custody, as well as designating power of attorney and completing estate planning. I've been through some of these challenges myself. And, as they say, there is no better teacher than experience. I can help you navigate your way out of difficult legal situations. Since becoming an attorney in 1992, I've helped people express their needs and find efficient solutions to meet those needs. Whether my clients need a plan for the future, a resolution to a problem, or a fresh start, I'm always up for the challenge," said the founding attorney of Duncan Legal, PC, Carolyn Duncan.
Carolyn Duncan received her BA in International Relations from Florida State University and her J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. She was admitted to the Georgia Bar and the Alabama Bar in 1992.
Carolyn Duncan began her career working for a law firm in Columbus, Georgia, handling family law and divorce cases. Later she worked as a Legal Assistance Attorney in the Office of the Judge Advocate General (JAG) at Fort Benning, Georgia, and was promoted to Chief of the Legal Assistance Division. In 2002 she moved to Colorado, was admitted to the Colorado Bar, and continued her law practice.
As she points out, her practice has evolved over the years, partially due to the regular trial and error that comes with decades of experience and partially because she has always believed that it's never too late to improve even more.
Duncan Legal works with clients in Centennial and the surrounding region, including Arapahoe, Jefferson, Douglas, and Denver counties.
