LINWOOD, NJ, June 14, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Coyle S. Connolly, DO, has been recognized as a 2023 Castle Connolly Top Doctor — the first time he has received the prestigious Top Doctor honor. Only about 7 percent of the nation's licensed physicians are selected annually as Castle Connolly Top Doctors in their regions for their specialties.
Dr. Connolly is a dermatologist and, since 2009, the president of Connolly Dermatology. The practice has 22 locations in New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.
Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. Connolly grew up in the area. He has been featured for his skin-health expertise by a number of national and regional media outlets.
Dr. Connolly practices both clinical dermatology and cosmetic dermatology, and cares for patients of all ages.
He diagnoses and treats a wide range of conditions — from rosacea, dermatitis, psoriasis, and shingles to eczema, acne, aging skin, and scalp conditions. He also performs procedures and services such as mole removal and patch testing for allergens.
Dr. Connolly has a special interest in skin cancer, for which the practice offers screening, diagnosis, and the advanced treatments superficial radiation therapy and Mohs micrographic surgery.
A diagnosis of skin cancer can be scary for patients and they may be afraid of treatment. Dr. Connolly says the latest treatments have come a long way. "We offer safe, effective, painless non-surgical options in many cases. A thorough two-way discussion between patient and physician is often all that's necessary to alleviate patient trepidation," he says.
Dr. Connolly and his team also perform many types of cosmetic treatments. These include microdermabrasion and microneedling; facials; glycolic and salicylic peels; dermal filler and botulinum injections such as BOTOX® and Juvederm®; and eyelash growth treatment Latisse®.
"Patients can expect a friendly, professional, and efficient visit at Connolly Dermatology," Dr. Connolly says.
Dr. Connolly serves as a clinical assistant professor of dermatology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Connolly earned his doctoral degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing his medical training at John F. Kennedy Hospital in New Jersey, he completed a three-year dermatology residency at a PCOM-affiliated hospital. He holds a BS degree in biology from Philadelphia's St. Joseph's University.
Top Doctors are nominated by peer physicians and selected by the physician-led Castle Connolly research team.
"Being recognized by my peers as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor is an honor," Dr. Connolly says. "Knowing that referring physicians trust our practice with their patient's health is the ultimate compliment and mark of trust. We will always strive to offer the best dermatological care possible to maintain that peer-to-peer respect."
