Trinity School of Medicine Breaks Ground on State-of-the-Art Anatomy Lab

The Steve and Sally Wilson Anatomy Lab to Enhance Medical Education in St. Vincent and the Grenadines

ROSWELL, GA, September 10, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Trinity School of Medicine is excited to announce the groundbreaking of the Steve and Sally Wilson Anatomy Lab at its Basic Science campus in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, marking a significant advancement in medical education for future healthcare professionals. The new facility, expected to be completed by early spring 2025, will feature cutting-edge resources that elevate the school's commitment to providing exceptional medical training to students who have been overlooked by U.S. and Canadian medical schools.

Named in honor of the university's founding president, Steve Wilson, and his wife, Sally Wilson, the lab reflects their enduring legacy in building and nurturing Trinity Medical Sciences University from its inception. The new 1600-square-foot anatomy lab will offer six cadaver tables, lockers, and other student amenities. Additionally, a 1400-square-foot covered plaza deck will be constructed on the second level, providing an outdoor learning and community space. The facility will also include two virtual dissection tables and 3D anatomy visualization tools, ensuring students gain exposure to both traditional and advanced dissection methods.

Dr. Ward Ulmer, the current president of Trinity School of Medicine, expressed his excitement about this monumental addition:

"We are very excited to honor Mr. and Mrs. Wilson in the naming of the newest addition to the Trinity campus. This will memorialize all they've done with founding and nurturing Trinity Medical Sciences University. This state-of-the-art lab will be integral to educating the next generation of physicians."

In reflecting on the honor of having the new lab named after him and his wife, Steve Wilson shared his gratitude and pride for Trinity's growth and future:

"It is an incredible honor for Sally and me to have our names associated with this new anatomy lab. Since the beginning, we wanted to create a school that never stops innovating and improving as new technologies become available. Seeing how the institution has grown and thrived is deeply humbling and we are proud to have played a part in its journey."

The Steve and Sally Wilson Anatomy Lab will offer an enriched, hands-on learning environment that sets the stage for aspiring physicians to excel in their medical careers. By blending classical anatomy education with advanced technology, the lab is expected to attract top-tier talent and further bolster the school's reputation as a leading education institution in the Caribbean.
