Panama City Resort Announces New Hire

    /24-7PressRelease/ - PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL, August 27, 2008 - Bay Point Marriott Golf Resort & Spa has just announced the appointment of Rick Thompson as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the full service, 316 guest room luxury hotel in Panama City Beach, Florida. The hotel recently completed a $24 Million Renovation Project. This renovation covered everything from the guest rooms and villas, to the new on-site spa, Serenity Spa at Bay Point.

Thompson returns to the exquisite Bay Point Marriott Golf Resort & Spa with more than two decades of hospitality industry and business sales experience. He has most recently held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing for Intrawest-managed properties Cottage Rental Agency in Seaside, FL and the Towne of Seahaven in Panama City Beach, FL. Prior to Intrawest, he held the position of Director at the Newport News Marriott in Virginia as well as the Bay Point Marriott Resort. He has held sales management positions with the Hilton Sandestin Beach & Golf Resort in Florida and the Perdido Beach Resort in Alabama.
