SEATTLE, WA, October 02, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Renaissance Seattle Hotel adds new energy and leadership to its management team with the appointment of Nancy Helms as director of sales and marketing. A hospitality industry veteran, Helms brings 17 years of sales success and creative marketing expertise to her new role guiding the hotel's sales and marketing efforts.
Helms previously held key positions at several of downtown Seattle's finest hotels, including the Four Seasons Olympic Hotel (now the Fairmont Olympic), The Westin and The Edgewater. Her resume also includes sales, marketing and executive roles with meeting planner Helms/Briscoe and the Grand Heritage Hotel Group in Portland, Oregon.
Her broad experience includes repositioning niche hotels to attract new audiences, driving sales growth, and promoting special events. She has extensive background in designing advertising campaigns in all media, including the Internet, radio, video, direct mail and print advertising. During her work as a meeting planner, she earned a Certified Meeting Planner designation.
Helms joins the downtown Seattle, WA hotel as it undergoes a $25 million remodel that will touch every room and public space in the hotel, transforming it into Seattle's premier boutique hotel destination. With the renovations due for completion in April 2009, Helms will play a key role in presenting the Renaissance's luxurious new ambiance to the public.
