/24-7PressRelease/ - July 08, 2005 - Wilkes-Barre, PA - July 7, 2005 - When the National Wildlife Federation decided it was time to update their Yahoo! Merchant Solutions ecommerce store, Solid Cactus was chosen as their developer.
The non-profit organization who's goal since 1936 has been to protect America's wildlife, raises much needed funds by operating an ecommerce site at http://www.shopnwf.com. Product selection ranges from garden items to apparel and even some exclusive items all with a nature or wildlife theme.
Solid Cactus was challenged with coming up with a unique design that incorporates features that will make shopping easier for the consumer such as a new navigation structure, real time product inventory, custom sorting of product on pages and more. And to make sure the website is friendly to search engines, Solid Cactus will be implementing several Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques designed to improve search engine placement which increases traffic to the site resulting in increased sales.
"The National Wildlife Federation has enjoyed working with Solid Cactus to update our ecommerce operations to enhance sales which help fund our conservation programs" said Winston Foley, Director of Information Technology.
"We're thrilled to be working with the NWF on this project," commented Scott Sanfilippo, Chief Operating Officer. "Our roots as a company come from the pet industry, and all of us here are animal lovers who are excited to have the opportunity to work with an organization dedicated to conservation and protecting the beauty of our wildlife."
