NEW YORK, NY, October 09, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- New York's favorite green guy, Sean Meenan has just released the 2009 Habana Girls Calendar, entitled Girls Gone Green. Sean is well known in New York for his ecoeateries Caf Habana and Habana Outpost where his mission has always been to educate the public about sustainability in a way that is fun and this new calendar is no exception.
Sean managed to put the "sexy" in the Green Movement while shooting the photographs at Habana Outpost; New York's first Solar Powered Restaurant and the result is 12 months of beautiful women and fun ways anyone can help the environment. Take Miss February (Janiela) for example who draws you in with her beauty while she collects harvested rainwater or Miss October (Leslie) posing seductively among Habana's certified Wildlife Habitat. From month to month you will find the Habana Girls posing on Green Roofs, Bike Blenders, Compost Stations or on the hood of Sean's1965 Lincoln Continental which runs on vegetable oil!
The proceeds from the calendar go to Habana Works Inc; a non-profit organization founded by Sean Meenan that aims to engage the local community through free and fun programs that inspire and unite people of all ages. Since 2005, Habana Works has provided free environmental workshops for children, school supply giveaways, composting workshops and so much more. Check out www.habanaworks.org
The calendar is printed with soy ink on recycled paper and packaged in PLA; a resin made from corn, making this calendar completely compostable and biodegradable!
So, if you know someone who might need a little sexy inspiration to join the green movement this is the perfect gift for them. Calendars can be purchased at any of the Habana restaurants or online and are $6 a piece or 2 for $10 - such a deal!
