Maud-Flore Colas Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry

    NEW YORK, NY, October 15, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cambridge Who's Who has recognized Maud-Flore Colas, Outreach Patient Navigation Manager for the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention, for showing dedication and leadership in all aspects of patient care services.

Maud-Flore Colas began her career as a healthcare professional over ten years ago, starting with Oxford Health Plans, Yale New Haven Hospital and Silver Hill Hospital.

Under the leadership of Harold P. Freeman, MD, Maud-Flore Colas specializes in both Outreach and Patient Navigation at the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention. Ms. Colas chose this profession for many reasons but mainly because she wanted to make a difference. Her many successes and achievements are attributed to her caring nature, hard work and compassion for others.

Ms. Colas is responsible for identifying and resolving barriers face by individuals dealing with the complexities of the healthcare system. Ms. Colas acts as the liaison, facilitator and source for information at the Center, resolving and discovering ways to provide insurance for the uninsured, as well as assisting individuals who qualify into the pharmaceutical patient assistance program. Ms. Colas also serves as an instructor, training future patient navigators from all over the world at the Harold P. Freeman Patient Navigation Institute in Harlem, New York.

With a generous gift from Mr. Ralph Lauren, The Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention was inaugurated on May 1st 2003. The mission of the Center is to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer through patient care, patient navigation and outreach patient navigation.
