Anat Ben-Shlomo, MD Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry

    LOS ANGELES, CA, October 15, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Anat Ben-Shlomo, Staff Physician for Cedars Sinai Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of endocrinology.

With 17 years of professional experience, Dr. Ben-Shlomo specializes in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. She is responsible for diagnosing and treating pituitary gland disorders, overseeing clinical work, conducting research on translational medicine and attending to patients. Also an assistant professor in the department of medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California at Los Angeles, she joined the Burns and Allen Research Institute as a research fellow in endocrinology and studied somatostatin receptor subtypes function in the pituitary gland and their novel selective ligands. The findings of her research were published in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, The Journal of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Endocrinology, Oncogene and PNAS.

Dr. Ben-Shlomo completed her residency in internal medicine and a clinical fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Assaf Harofe Medical Center. She received her MD from Tel Aviv University in 1992 and is member of the Endocrine Society and the Pituitary Society. She intends to continue her research work and progress in her profession in the future.
