Ms. Williams has 38 years of professional experience, during which she developed an expertise in teaching writing skills. Prior to joining Ivy Tech Community College, she taught second through fifth-grade students. She considers watching her students succeed to be the most fulfilling aspect of her career and credits her success to her passion for education and to her parents who supported her efforts both financially and intellectually during her early career.

Ms. Williams received her Master's Degree in Education from Purdue University and her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Indiana University. She is a member of the National Education Association, the American Association of University Women and Alpha Delta Kappa.
