ORLANDO, FL, October 22, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Touch Technologies, LLC (www.Motion4U.org) proudly announced today that it has been selected as "Top 50" in the Pitching Across America national emerging company contest. This 5th annual FundingPost competition was the largest national competition of its kind. Over 300 entries were judged by 130+ venture capitalists and angel investors across the country. Each company's executive summary was rated by the judges on a scale of 1 - 10. According to the contest host, FundingPost.com (www.FundingPost.com), the "criteria consisted of several key points including: the professionalism of the written summary, current stage of development (customers, revenue), competitive advantage and need in the marketplace, feasibility for success, and whether the company is 'VentureWorthy '." When the judges had completed their reviews, Touch Tech ranked 28th putting it in the top 10%.
Touch Tech is the Orlando based creator of the OptiBurst 3D input system for film, video game and broadcast content development. The OptiBurst system allows 3D artists and animators to escape the flatland confines of mouse, keyboard, pen and puck by developing in actual 3D (in the air). This is accomplished with simultaneous 6 DOF (Degrees Of Freedom) and with the user's choice of absolute (pick and place) or relative (joystick style) performance. Users can control object movement and camera movement. In short, after nine years of development, the "flying" mouse concept is now a viable development tool.
According to president and CEO, Lou Magill, "The traditional techniques of keyframing, path animation and procedural are 2D based operations. OptiBurst is a true 3D tool that allows the video game, film and broadcast industries to develop more creative ideas of higher quality in substantially less time and at significantly less expense. In addition, they now have the capability of incorporating truly organic motion in real time."
"It is obvious to see why Touch Technologies' exciting product stood out to our judges," said Joe Rubin, Director, Funding Post. "They have come up with a truly innovative technology, and we look forward to hearing a success story as they seek funding this year."
