Mary E. Kubacki, RN, ICN Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Nursing

    ANTIGO, WI, October 23, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mary E. Kubacki, Registered Infection Control Nurse at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center of Kindred Healthcare, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of nursing.

With more than 47 years of professional experience in nursing, 31 of which have been in her current position, Ms. Kubacki specializes in infection control. Her responsibilities include caring for patients, conducting AIDS awareness training programs at schools and government agencies, overseeing research, providing in-patient services, and teaching about infection control to caregivers for in-home health settings. Prior to joining Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Ms. Kubacki worked as a staff nurse at St. Luke's Hospital and as a charge nurse at Milwaukee County General Hospital. Over the course of her impressive career, she has accumulated experience in such diverse areas as neonatal intensive care, home care and neurology research.

Ms. Kubacki received her degree in advanced nursing from Marquette University in 1964 and a degree in nursing from Milwaukee County School of Nursing in 1961. She participates in the AIDS Walk and is a supporter of the American Cancer Society, the Relay for Life and the Girl Scouts of America.
