/24-7PressRelease/ - NEW YORK, NY - July 22, 2005 - A new Web site specializing in movie reviews and home theater information aims to help movie enthusiasts identify the best films in theaters and on DVD as well as the best electronic gear to enjoy these films at home. Featuring current and classic movie reviews, annual "High Five" lists, home theater equipment reviews, news and in-depth coverage from trade shows such as CES and Home Entertainment Expo, BIG PICTURE BIG SOUND (http://www.BigPictureBigSound.com) delivers a wealth of useful, timely information with a wry humorous edge.
Uniting home theater guru Chris Boylan and film maven Joe Lozito for the first time in a joint online venture, Big Picture Big Sound has a two-pronged mission - to inform, but also to entertain. As Boylan says, "Hey, if you can't have fun with this stuff, then why bother?"
Joe Lozito brings to the site his archive of over 400 film reviews published over the past seven years. Joe has been a fan and critic of movies for as long as he can remember, writing at first for himself, family and friends at a young age and then making the transition to online publishing in 1998. His reviews are known for their informal but informative quality which appeals to both casual viewer and film aficionado alike. An actor and musician in his spare time, Joe puts the "Big Picture" in Big Picture Big Sound.
Chris Boylan also developed his interests at an early age, focusing on music and film plus the electronics to reproduce these at home. He put his passion to work in the electronics and high tech industries, behind the drums of rock band STATIC 13, and most recently as a regular contributor to "Enjoy The Music" magazine. His straightforward "tell it like it is" style hasn't always made him popular in the industry but his never-ending quest for audio and video perfection infuses his articles, show reports and editorials with an ineffable sense of purpose.
Joining Boylan and Lozito in this enterprise are seasoned writers Ian White, Adam Sohmer, Chris Dobens and David Kempler, whose collective writing credits include publication in Listener Magazine, DVD Angle, SoundStage, Beer and Tavern Chronicle, New York Newsday and The New York Times.
The site designers are syndicating their review content on high quality, high traffic sites including eCoustics (http://www.eCoustics.com) and Internet Movie Database (http://www.imdb.com), as well as partnering with Web Marketing firm, Web-Search-Engines.com (http://www.web-search-engines.com) in order to ramp up quickly with high quality Web traffic.
BIG PICTURE BIG SOUND launches Summer 2005 and is available now at http://www.bigpicturebigsound.com.
