True to his word, Hotchkiss spent "an enormous amount of time" perfecting his Tour de Lance design, which includes a full image of the yellow jersey with an American flag, the Arc de Triomphe and a view of the Alps. "Getting the yellow flowers in the foothills of the Alps to print correctly took three attempts. I know the mill is happy to have this project behind them," laughs Hotchkiss.

Tour de Lance is currently available in French blue and pistachio background colors and will be distributed more extensively than most Capital Ties. "There is a lot of interest from bike store owners," says Hotchkiss, "and we've seen that the sell-through from the first group of stores has been excellent."

In his advertising copy for Tour de Lance, Hotchkiss calls Armstrong the 'King' of cycling's Tour de France and also applauds him for his tireless commitment of time and money to help others in their journeys back to life.

Capital Ties neckwear is made in the U.S.A. from 100 percent imported silk twill fabric. Neckties measure 58 inches long and 3 3/4 inches wide. Bow ties are 2 1/2 inches high in the classic butterfly shape and must be tied. Ladies fashion scarves are 36 inches square with hand-rolled edges.
