LONDON, ENGLAND, January 28, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- TypeTogether (www.type-together.com), an independent type foundry created in 2006 by designers Veronika Burian and Jose Scaglione, has announced the extension of two of its font families and the release of a new typeface.
Bree, a sans serif with reminiscences of handwriting that has been featured in the most important best selling lists of distributors for 2008, has been upgraded with a set of five oblique fonts. Originally, Bree had five weights that range from Thin to ExtraBold. All of them have now their matching Obliques.
TypeTogether has also added eight additional fonts to the Ronnia bundle for a total of 28, now featuring thin and semibold weights. Ronnia, designed by V. Burian and J. Scaglione, is a humanistic sans serif that has been utilized by some of the world's most prestigious designers and publications, including The Irish Times (Ireland) and The Big Issue (England).
The new release from TypeTogether is Karmina Sans, which follows the steps of its successful award winner cousin, Karmina Serif. It shares the same technical excellence and it achieves similar stylistic features, but the new sans serif version proposes a much more versatile tool for editorial designers. Karmina Sans has six different weights with their matching italics, from light to heavy, serving continuous text to headlines to small text.
All of the above fonts are available on TypeTogether's online store, and are being offered in special discounted font bundles.
