OCEANSIDE, NY, February 28, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- When it comes to fighting head lice we've witnessed the toughest of New Yorkers in total meltdown," explained Carol Glibert, co-owner of a New York based lice treatment facility, appropriately called "Fairy LiceMothers." "When it comes to eliminating head lice parents want help and they want it now. Fortunately we have the skills to provide the help they need."
Fairy LiceMothers is the brain child of three enterprising New York Mothers, each frustrated by the increasing number of head lice cases in their community. "When I received that horrifying call from my daughter's camp, I thought, how could this happen to us? We are so clean," partner Michelle Villella commented. "I called my pediatrician and she recommended pesticides yet warned me to be careful as they were highly toxic. I had my family screened and we were all infested, including my infant son. Trust me I bought everything I could get my hands on to get rid of it." It's a testimonial she now willingly shares with the families she helps. "I feel their pain. After our experience I knew I had to better educate myself, and others, about head lice and the proper way to remove them," she added.
Serious about providing the best service possible, co-owner Carol Gilbert traveled to South Florida where she took part in an intense head lice training program. "I received lots of hands on experiences that I would never have had otherwise," Carol replied. "The training was a wonderful opportunity that allowed me to meet with some top lice experts and helped to educate us in more accurate head lice information. I was taught their way of treating and was quite impressed with the thoroughness of "The Shepherd Method" for treating head lice. A method we now provide to our clients as well."
Business has been booming for The Fairy LiceMothers as word quickly spread throughout New York about this very unique business. "I was most impressed with the fact that they provide 2 follow up rechecks at no additional cost. The fact that I only had to pay once for the treatment gave me the peace of mind that they really were there to help my family," stated Beth Rocco a mother of three children, all of which had head lice. Carol Gilbert claims this is just one of the many safety nets built into "The Shepherd Method" for treating head lice. "Our goal is to get them past this and to ensure that they are past it for good," she said.
So how did they come up with such a catchy name? "We heard parents say, I wish I had some help. I wish I knew what to do. I wish there was no such thing as head lice," Christine Bonanno, and third member of the Fairy Lice Mother team, explained. "We decided to help make wishes come true. While we can't totally eradicate head lice we can eliminate it in their household."
