/24-7PressRelease/ - PORTLAND, OR, October 29, 2005 - The Saturday November 12th 2005, occurring the day after Veterans Day holiday in the USA, meeting of the Oregon Chapter of the 8th AFHS will feature a panel discussion moderated by Don Bourgeois. The meeting will be about POW experiences in Europe during World War Two. Questions to the panel members from people attending the meeting, or stories and questions to others members and guests are welcome.
Meetings are free and open to the public. You do not have to be a member of the Elks or the 8thAFHS to attend any meeting.

Doors open at 10:00 with the social hour starting at 10:30. Meeting starts at 11:30.
Lunch is available at the Elks Lodge and costs $9.50 per person. Lunch consists of sandwiches, rolls, condiments and coffee or tea. Oregon Chapter Eighth Air Force Historical Society is a non-profit organization that exists to give pass along the history of those who were in the unit, historical perspective on the accomplishments of the 8th Air Force during World War II in relation to other theatres of war, as well as contrast what they pioneered as it relates to the existing modern 8th Air Force and other combat arms.
