Dr. Ichak Adizes Honored Across Europe for his Contributions to the Field of Management

    CARPINTERIA, CA, April 11, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On February 23, 2009 Dr. Ichak Adizes was awarded a Honorary Citizenship of Montenegro. He has been awarded this honor in recognition for his contributions to the country. Dr. Adizes has been a consultant to the Government of Montenegro and specifically to the Prime Minister for the last three years. Previously, Dr. Adizes had also received a Honorary Citizenship from the Country of Macedonia with whom he has also consulted.

On March 31, 2009 Dr. Adizes was awarded a Honorary Doctorate from the European University in Kiev, Ukraine. This is the 10th Honorary Doctorate Dr. Adizes has received. The European University has 30,000 students and is the largest privately owned University in Ukraine.

On March 31, 2009 Dr. Adizes was awarded the rank of Honorary Professor of the Kiev National Economic University, the largest public University of Ukraine.

Dr. Adizes adds these honors to the many others he has received in the last two years. Dr. Adizes has received these awards in recognition of his management theories, known as The Adizes Methodology, which are widely taught in universities around the world.

The Adizes methodology represents a departure from traditional management theories as it stresses the need for collaborative leadership rather than individual leadership, the importance of understanding an organizations location in its lifecycle when dealing with problems rather than a one size fits all approach and the need to harness and channel conflict in a constructive manner rather than suppress it.

It is interesting to note that while the Adizes Methodology has achieved widespread acceptance abroad it still remains relatively unknown in the United States, prompting some top management thinkers, like Ken Blanchard to call it, "The best kept secret in America."
