Gastric Surgery Procedures Nearly Double Across Great Britain

Health-conscious surgery-seekers across Great Britain made 751 enquiries into gastric surgery in 2008, while only 485 people took steps to tackle their obesity in 2007.

Of the 106 gastric band operations performed by The Hospital Group in January 2007, the total weight loss was a massive 300 stone, and nine months later 99% of patients recorded a significant weight loss.
