AMHERST, NY, April 16, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Niagara Dispensing Technologies, Inc., a worldwide leader in innovative beverage dispensing technologies and systems, today announced that it has provided The O2, Dublin, Europe's largest purpose built concert venue, with its EXACTAP and EXACTPOUR state-of-the-art beverage dispensing equipment. The O2 is the world's first live music venue completely fitted with the innovative beer tap technology.
NDT's EXACTAP and EXACTPOUR beer dispensing products have redefined draft beer dispensing with a user-friendly solution that caters to high-volume stadiums, restaurants and bars. The EXACTAP systems are controlled by a programmable keypad that allows multiple serving sizes, enabling the system to pour any amount of beer desired, and can even control the volume of foam on each beer poured. In addition to delivering revolutionary dispense speed with precision control, the tap also serves as a data acquisition tool capable of tracking various statistics, including pours by size, total number of pours, and temperature/pressure measurements.
"The O2, Dublin is truly a paragon in modern indoor entertainment arenas, and we are proud to be the exclusive beer dispensing technology provider throughout this state-of-the art concert venue," said Thomas Gagliano, CEO of Niagara Dispensing Technologies (NDT). "By utilizing the EXACTAP products, the arena is able to deliver more than 2,000 pints per minute with perfect brewery recommended in-glass presentation and zero wastage. As a result of NDT's high-speed technology, the arena has gone from serving a maximum of 10,000 pints to consistently more than 20,000 pints of beer per event."
"Having the opportunity to dispense both Carlsberg lager and Guinness products throughout the arena has allowed us the satisfaction of working with two of the most prestigious and global brands that are both intimately tied to stadium and arena consumption throughout Europe and the world," added Gagliano.
"Fast flow beer was an integral part of our plans for the new arena and we are very happy with the performance of the EXACTAP system," said Conor Merry, retail manager for Venue Operator, Live Nation Ireland. "From ease of use for staff, to speed and quality of the pour, the system has excelled and has played a crucial part in the reduction of transaction times, and hence queuing times for patrons."
The O2, formally known as The Point, is a concert venue developed by Live Nation and Irish property developer Harry Crosbie. Newly renovated in 2008, The O2 has state-of-the-art acoustics and an amphitheatre design that seats 10,000 people, with a maximum capacity for both seating and standing of 14,000. The venue is expected to host as many as 150 non-sports related events annually.
